REJOICING FOR THE ONE AND FORTY-ONE
Luke 15:10 – Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the
presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

Dear Friends,

Last month we saw God’s hand at work in the lives of several people who came to know Christ as their personal Savior.

VBSOur newest work under the leadership of Pastor Tito just celebrated their third year as an independent, indigenous Baptist church. Four weeks ago, they had the opportunity to present a Bible drama at the municipal gymnasium for the neighbors of the community. They passed out tracts, prayed and visited the neighborhood. The municipality also did their part advertising with posters and pamphlets in and around the gymnasium and health center. (Try that in the States.) All total, over 400 people attended the special event. An invitation was given at the end of the program and forty-one people made professions of faith, each one being dealt with individually. Praise God for the forty-one.

VBSOur Santiago work has also seen people coming to know Christ as their personal Savior. Let me share one of them with you. While out on door-to-door visitation, Peggy and one of our ladies met Pilar and began witnessing to her. She did not receive Christ at that time, but came to church the following Sunday and responded to the gospel invitation for salvation. She has been coming every week and bringing her friend and son as she is excited about her new birth in Jesus Christ. We rejoice with those in the “presence of the angels of God” for the one also.

VBSLet me share one more blessing with you. Last month a team from our church went to “El Eden”, a boys orphanage here in Santiago. We shared the joys of being a Christian and presented a special program just for them including some gospel magic, puppet show, Bible songs, games and a gospel application. Twelve young boys ranging from the age of eight to fourteen stepped out and received Christ as their Savior that day. What a joy it was to see our workers scattered throughout the compound leading those precious young souls to Jesus Christ.
We share the joy of heaven for the one as well as the forty-one and everyone in between during these past two months, responding in repentance and receiving the gift of salvation in their lives.
