Since our Last Prayer Letter:
Annual Pastor’s Camp: Once again we were pleased to host a 5-day school/retreat for pastors, their families and their main church workers. Dr. W. L. Smith taught and preached each day. It was our biggest camp ever, with a total of 140 participants representing more than 20 churches.
Campaign Hualpén: Following the pastor’s camp, we traveled to the city of Hualpén to preach, along with Dr. Smith, in a weekend campaign. It was a thrill to preach in the new auditorium that Pastor Leonel and his people have built. Their door-to-door evangelism has been very effctive, and they brought in around 45 visitors to the services. There were 30 professions of faith.
The Island of Chiloé: About two weeks ago Pastor Pedro Curimil traveled to Chiloé in search of a place to rent where he and his family could live and begin the new work that the Lord has laid upon their hearts. He was able to lease a small house, so his family will be leaving our church around the end of this month. Please pray for this new mission.
News from Paraguay: Pastor Hugo, who is currently working as our Associate here in Santiago, received word last week from a man from the work he established in Mbuyapey, Paraguay. A young man and his wife, who were led to the Lord under Pastor Hugo’s ministry, have gone to a location even further into the interior of Paraguay and started a Bible Study of their own. They report that there were 25 that attended the study last week. This is a remarkable event! Please pray for this young couple, Kiko and Norma. We will be determining how we can help them in the days to come.
Meetings in Constitución: This past weekend we were invited to speak in meetings in the church founded by Pastor Gary Yantén and his wife, Loreto. Their little church building was filled each of the three nights, and we were impressed by the growth we saw from our last visit. They attribute their growth to door-to-door visitaton and soul-winning.
Thank you for your prayers and support which help to make these ministries possible.
